Topic
Over the next five years, we can expect important transformations in the health care industry through the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR).  A network of interoperable EHR solutions is expected to lower costs, reduce medical errors and improve the overall efficiency of the healthcare system. However, the creation of interoperable EHR solutions supporting integrated health care networks (including hospitals, clinics and pharmacies) raises many technological, managerial, ethical and political challenges. MCETECH is proud to organize a panel on the topic.

This panel is meant as a forum for bringing together academic researchers, policy makers and industrial practitioners who are interested in the main challenges facing EHR implementations. Our hope is that we could help practitioners better prepare for what is to come, and help academic researchers identify future research topics in the area of EHR implementation.
