Conference site 

Comolexe des SciencesThe main conference site is the Hôtel Godin, on 10 Sherbrooke West, at the corner of Sherbrooke Street and Saint Laurent Boulevard. All of the conference events (technical sessions, tutorials, keynote speech, luncheons, cocktail reception on Wednesday) are held within Hotel Godin, with the exception of two events, i) the T11 tutorial (software factories), which is a full-day tutorial involving hands-on computer labs, which will be held on the premises of the Sciences and Engineering School (Complexe Pierre-Dansereau) of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), in room PK-4360 of the Kennedy Pavilion (201 President Kennedy Street), and ii) the e-health panel, which is a general-admission (free) event, also held on the premises of Complexe Pierre-Dansereau, in room SH-2800, 200 Sherbrooke West. Attendees will receive an information packet that includes maps and directions from Hotel Godin to the rooms for the T11 tutorial and the e-health panel.

Hôtel Godin
The Hôtel Godin  is a boutique/design hotel borne out a turn of the (20th) century Art Nouveau building, tastefully combining glass and steel with stone. It has been cited by Condé Nast Travelers as one of the hippest hotels in North America, and is within a short walking distance from one of the main nightlife spots of Montréal (Saint Laurent boulevard and Prince Arthur street). Its conference facilities are equipped with state of the art multimedia equipment. It is also one block away from the Complexe des Sciences of UQAM.

Complexe Pierre-Dansereau
The Complexe Pierre-Dansereau is a freshly minted sciences complex housing UQAM's sciences school (Faculté des Sciences). The square block complex houses the computer science, mathematics, biology, chemistry, geology, and environmental studies departments, as well as a number of research centers and pharmaceutical and bio-engineering companies. It features state of the art teaching and research facilities in environmentally efficient buildings. Its namesake is an Emeritus professor of environmenatl studies, a world reknown pioneer in environmental research.

Montréal is a vibrant multi-cultural metropolis boasting a unique blend of european and north american influences, and a lively mix of french and anglo-saxon cultures, with plenty of opportunities to wine, dine, and shop (http://www.tourisme-montreal.org). In May, the Montréal region offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor sports (www.bonjourquebec.com).

Hotel Godin offers a reduced rate to conference attendees. As a service to this conference, Bonjour Québec.com, the Québec tourism portal, is making available to us a list of hotels located within one (1) km of the conference location. You can check the hotels, and do your booking on-line.  Finally, of UQAM's student residences (2100 Saint Urbain Street) is located within the Complexe des Sciences, and offers a comfortable and affordable alternative to area hotels.  Several options are available including individual rooms, studios, and appartments.
