Workshop on Practice and Theory of IT Security
Goals

The workshop is a quality scientific meeting where researchers can present original research contributions in information technology security that might be either practical or theoretical. More precisely, topics of this workshop include (but are not limited to):

  • Network security.
  • Application and middleware security.
  • Operating systems security.
  • Intrusion detection and protection.
  • Cryptography and cryptographic protocols.
  • Access control requirements and models.
  • Language based security.
  • Computer forensics.
  • Information protection and hiding.
  • Semantic foundations of IT security.
The workshop will provide a balanced mix of technical papers, implementation experiences, applications and case studies.

The MCETECH2006 e-Collaboration Workshop
Goals

Many technologies have been developed and used by firms and networks of firms to enable collaboration among individuals and teams engaged in common activities. The design and implementation of such technologies was particularly increased by the outsourcing and delocalisation of activities, such as manufacturing, R&D, marketing, etc. This workshop aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and experiences about electronic collaboration technologies and their impact on organizations. The presentations included in this workshop may cover any of the following topics:

  • E-collaboration technologies in a supply chain or a network
  • E-collaboration technologies support for the creation of virtual teams and virtual organizations
  • E-collaboration technologies and their impact on knowledge management and organizational learning
  • E-collaboration technologies in product development and product life cycle management
  • Development, implementation, and assessment of e-collaboration tools and solutions
  • Distributed project management using e-collaboration technologies
  • E-collaboration technologies support for distributed process reengineering and process improvement
  • Use and organizational impact of e-collaboration tools (Wiki, Web-based chat tools, Web-based asynchronous conferencing tools, Blogs, etc.)
